Assessment Lesson 1

In this task i'm hoping for your best possible work as this is your introduction to the topic of Pompeii and Herculaneum. Those dot points are found within the syllabus outline and will only be covered again in study at the end of the year, it is your responsibility to find the information and also take notes of other peoples presentations. Feedback will be given to all the groups and it will be unacceptable if people do not put effort into this assignment. The group who puts in the most effort and gains the best information will be given a prize at the end of the period

Assessment lesson 2

This task for this lesson will be a for learning assessment. You will not be graded on the work done, however you will get feedback on the quality of your notes and your assessment of dot points. This will be greatly beneficial for you in the future, especially when creating study notes for the HSC.

Assessment lesson 3

This assessment will be worth 1/3 of the students final grade for Pompeii and Herculanium. It will weigh a total of 10%. Students will be assessed on their ability to:

• present the findings of investigations of key features or issues relevant to the study of
  Pompeii and Herculaneum
  
• communicate effectively in oral and written forms to describe and analyse features and
  issues of the study.
  
  
• the evidence provided by the sources from Pompeii and Herculaneum for:
  • – the eruption
